One of the effective ways to reduce post-pregnancy belly fat is by doing crunches. To perform this, you have to lie down on your back with your knee flexed and feet slightly apart. You have to fix your feet so that they don’t frail apart while performing the exercise. Now you have to pull yourself up with both the hands placed at the backside of your head and elbows flexed. Repeat this exercise ten times in three sets with a brief rest in between. Over time, you can increase the number of repetitions as well the resistance.

V Hold

A very effective exercise to target your abdominal muscles especially the Rectus abdominis. To do this, you have to lie down on your back and then lift both legs together. There shouldn’t be any gap in between. Now just as you lift your lower part, you have to lift your torso too to make a perfect V shape. Hold on to this position for at least 30 seconds. You can repeat the exercise at your convenience. Just try to keep your legs straight while performing this.

Plank

This is a core strengthening exercise that targets your back muscles, glutes and lower abdomen. All you have to do is take a push up position where your whole body is in a straight line while lying down. To make it easier, you can go for the plank with flexed elbows or or extended elbows, depending upon your choice. You have to hold onto this position for at least 30-40 seconds. Russian Twists

As the name suggests, you have to twist your body. It’s a fun exercise but simultaneously targets your abdominal muscles. To do this, you have to make a V position as mentioned. However, there is some modification in this, you don’t have to keep your legs straight while doing this. You can bend your knees, only they shouldn’t touch the ground. Now you have to juggle your body from right to left and then repeat. You can put your hands in front of you or you can carry some weight in both hands to make it harder and more effective. You have to repeat the exercise at least 10 times and 3 sets of it.

It is a very important exercise that majorly targets your lower abdomen and helps you to get rid of post-pregnancy belly fat. To begin with, you have to lie down in a supine position with your hands down and side wards. Now slowly you have to raise your legs keeping them together and your upper portion intact to the ground. Try not to lift your head while doing this. If you find it difficult, you can go with an easier version of it where you can put your hands beneath your buttocks to help you with easy lifting. To make it harder, put some weight on your legs (you can tie sand weights around the ankle).
